Timeless Beauty...

“The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness; and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.” Kahlil Gibran

“There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition.” Rod Sterling

Sunflower Visions

Jaun Paul Richter

“She laughed out loud and explained that was a sunflower.
Dan Monnat

I love sunflowers. They bring light, sunshine, love...Sunflower Fields...Barefoot Girls...Bird Songs..and that fascinating smell of nature. A smell that absorbs the past and the future. It makes you feel alive NOW! Tranquil. Enchanting. Peaceful and Sole. Frozen in time and space. Intertwined with nature..In love...

~

So I chose Sunflowers for one of my crochet jewelry collections. And I dedicated it to my mom Maria Theresa!
Somehow a mere coincidence or not I feel a connection. She was born in Bratislava Austria where my Swarovski Crystals come from and today she is resting in peace by breathtaking sunflower fields...And Yes!! The same sunflower fields that radiate cosmic wisdom and peace...

How it all began...

"...My lovéve naturally emerged. It evolved from an idea to an inspiration. To an expression taking me on inevitable and inescapable journey. I could only follow the urge, the impulse..I hope you will too feel and be affected by it as much as I am.."

~ There comes a moment in our lives when an idea just takes hold of us in such a way that it makes us totally irrational and so animated and thrilled and eager to follow the path, that we no longer belong to ourselves. We feel like puppets blown by the wind. Excited and sometimes scared. Scared - not of the outcome as we just don't care, but scared of the power of the wave, of the urge that swiped us into the unknown...It's like gambling with your own life, it's like flirting with the devil. ~

Growing up in Eastern Europe, I was accustomed to the delicate beauty of the crochet doilies all over the house, the elegant garments and apparels that my grandmother would create for the whole family....Back then, of course, I could not appreciate the precious beauty of it all, the many hours of work it took to create these now works of art! Back then, I was longing for something that was made in a big factory in a distant country. Today...I am longing for those days, for the loving tired hands of my dearly loved grandmother, for the beauty and the magic of that lovely dress that she diligently crocheted for weeks. It was a gift for my 14th birthday. Today in the age of abundance, Asia and automation, tired of the artificiality of this era, I have a yearning for something that besides design will have a personal meaning instilled by the maker, a soul, a bygone fragrance.

Reverentially
